About Us
Our work strives to create beautiful, functional and diverse landscapes that fit within the unique ecological framework they are part of. Using natural materials and native plants whenever possible, we aim to build and maintain low maintenance landscapes and gardens that will attract birds and pollinators and be inviting and engaging to the people who live there.
Taproot Landscaping has grown from a one woman show tending a few gardens in 2008 to a full service crew building and maintaining home and commercial landscapes throughout Cook County. Inspired by working outdoors with plants, this passion was built upon wonderful community relationships and the desire to develop a deep understanding of the natural world in order to do the best possible service to this work. I have been honored to be part of so many people’s lives as we work together shaping the land towards a greater sense of harmony.
